Clayton
Karl drove the #121 at Lorain Speedway. Jeff Karl owns the car, and
it was sponsored by River's Edge, A-1 Mini-Storage, JC Service, First Choice
Automotive, and Progressive Crane.
Clayton is from Columbia Station, OH,
and was a rookie to the class for the 2004 season. He also raced go-karts
and considers Dale Earnhardt Jr. as his favorite Nascar driver. His
inspiration for racing is his father, John Karl, who drives the 09 Late Model
at Lorain Speedway as well. His father is a 4 time champion at Sandusky
Speedway. His friend, Tigh
Shaffer who drives the #41 Grand
National also inspired him to race.
During his first night racing he had
transmission problems, but on his second night out he had a change of luck
and won his race. He loves the short track racing that Lorain Speedway
provides, and hopes to have more wins next season.
He wants to thank his mother and father
for all their help and support.
He moved up to the Pure Stock division in
2006.
