Jon Vondriska of Homer,
OH drives the #01 Modified at Lorain Speedway. The car is sponsored
by Town and Country Cleaning. He has been racing this class for 3
years, and has also raced Go Karts (NOKA), Mini Cup at Barberton, and Late
Model and Street Stock cars at Barberton as well.
He finished the 2004 season
with:
* 760 total points * 2 top 10 finishes * 12 feature and
heat starts
He got his start
in racing when he was just 12 years old and saw his first go kart race on
television and knew it was something he had to do. His stepbrother
Alex Lloyd was watching the race
with him, and decided he wanted to pursue racing as well.
Jon's racing motto
is to just get through each race one lap at a time and hopefully finish
the race. His most memorable moment was at Barberton when he hit the
wall and flipped. He enjoys Lorain Speedway because of the purse and
the fact that there are no walls in the turns.
He would like to
thank his family, Gary "Grumpy" Vondriska, and Lisa Vondriska and plans
on returning for the 2005 racing season.
