John Karl Jr. of Columia Station, OH drives the #9 Late Model at Lorain Speedway, amd his main sponsor is Safe-Quip Racing Products.  He has raced in this class for 4 years, with prior experience in Go-Karts, where he was once the track champion at Sandusky Speedway.  He is joined by his father John Karl Sr., and his cousins Nick Chmara and Clayton Karl.


His racing role models include Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kevin Harvick.  He says his greatest racing moment was watching his dad and uncle have so much success at Sandusky Speedway while he was growing up.  It was a big inspiration to Nick, and he hopes to win as often as possible.

Nick would like to thank his mom, dad, and his family for their support , and also the fans, because without them, racing would not be possible.  We look forward to his return for the Lorain Speedway 2005 Racing Season.
