Mike Champman Sr. drove the #39 Charger at
Lorain Speedway. He is from Lorain, OH and has been racing this
class for 4 years. He previously raced in the Bomber Class and also
raced at Sandusky. Two of his sons and his brother also raced at
Lorain Speedway.
Ryan Chapman owns the car,
and his major sponsor is Lakeshore Auto Sales. He says Bill Petrie
and Phil Rozum are his favorite drivers, and its the fans that keep him
coming back to Lorain Speedway week after week. Mike's favorite racing
moment so far was winning his first feature race.
He wishes to thank the other
drivers, his family and friends that are part of the Chapman Racing Team,
and of course, the fans that support the racing all season long. Mike
has traded in racing cars in exchange for racing go karts with his grandson.
