1. This division is limited to American
made cars from 1965 to 1990. No
jeeps, Suburbans,
Pickups, convertibles or two passenger sports cars
allowed.
2. Wheelbase must be 107 inches.
NO TOLERANCE!
3. Must be stock body with full floors
and rear package shelf. No raised
interiors.
Interior must be stock type. NO late model style. Passenger
floor may
be raised up to hump for exhaust.
4. Doors must be welded shut.
5. Aftermarket nose and tail allowed.
No spoilers.
6. All of the interior must be removed.
7. Bumpers must be securely fastened.
8. Windshield can be glass or lexan.
All other glass must be removed. Must
have car
number and the letters SS on UPPER PASS CORNER.
9. Rub rails are permitted. 1 in
x 2 in diameter. No other bars outside of body
allowed.
10. Hood and deck lid may be gutted.
11. Fuel cell or tank must have 4 straps.
12. Must have hood pins front and rear.
13. Must have tow hooks front and rear.
14. Battery may be inside but must be in
marine type box.
CHASSIS
1. All suspension parts must be stock.
All A-frames are to be stock and in
stock location.
Aftermarket A-frames with part #s UBM14-0809-5R or
UBM14-0829-6L
are also permitted.
2. Steel shocks must be stock mounted
and non-adjustable.
3. No load bolts. Twist blocks
will be permitted.
4. Must have 4 post roll cage with
3 bars in both doors. 1 ½” diameter tubing
minimum and
.095 wall.
5. Front and rear hoops are permitted
with no suspension parts attached to
hoops.
6. Ride height will be 6”.
3300lbs. 54% leftside 49% rear.
7. Lowering block not exceeding 2”
is permitted.
8. Racing springs OK.
9. 9 in Ford rear end in a GM car
must use GM upper/lower control arms in
stock location.
10. Frame can not be altered for fuel pump
clearance.
11. Frame must be stock up to behind the
rear tires. May be 2 x 3 box tubing
from there
back.
12. No rear disc brakes allowed. No
traction control devices of any type
allowed.
Brakes must be stock for car being used.
ENGINE
1. Gm 350, Ford 351. Mopar 360.
Flat top pistons and hydraulic cams and
lifters ONLY!
NO timing belts.
Piston may
not be above deck height.
2. GM and Ford allowed, .030 overbore
for clean up, Mopar 360 maximum.
3. Engine must line #3 spark plug
with the center of the drivers side upper
ball joint.
4. No marine, bowtie or aftermarket
intake. Factory 2 barrel intakes
unmodified
ONLY. NO ALUMINUM WATER PUMPS
5. Holley 4412 500CFM Carburetor,
with 1” adapter and two return springs.
GAUGE MUST
FIT TOP AND BOTTOM.
6. No roller cams or stud girdles.
Roller rockers and roller tip rockers are
permitted.
7. No electric fuel pumps, alcohol
or nitrous.
8. Factory cast iron heads unmodified
or world product #042660-1, #042670-1, NO ANGLE PLUG HEADS.
permitted.
No bowtie, no vortecs allowed.
9. Exhaust must exit out the back.
Exhaust manifolds must be unmodified
stock cast
iron.
10. Must pass a .98 decibel reading
test.
11. Clutch, stock 10 ½ inch
factory clutch and pressure plate. No aluminum
pressure
plate or flywheels. No double or triple disc. No 10,000 RPM
clutches.
12. Radiator must have a shroud and one
gallon overflow can.
13. All cars must have air cleaners.
TIRES
1. Hoosier commanche 26.5 or 27.5,8"
series only. No soaking of tires.
2. Steel racing wheels 8” only.
SAFETY
1. Must have all standard safety
equipment: window net, belts, shoulder
harness,
helmet (snell 98 rating), fire suits, gloves and a fire extinguisher
fully charged
and mounted within arms reach. No two-way radios or
mirrors.
A one-way receiving scanner locked to frequency 154.5700 is
MANDATORY.
No traction control device of any type.
The above rules are set to provide for the orderly conduct of all racing
programs at Lorain County Speedway. They are intended as a guideline
and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to its participants.
Anything not covered should be checked with officials before proceeding.
Rules may be changed at any time for the good of the sport of racing.
Any interpretation or deviation of the rules will be left to the decision
of the officials, whose decision is FINAL.
