Late Models
Run at Lorain County Speedway only on a limited schedule.
These cars are completely built from the scratch using
production and special high-performance racing parts. They have a
custom racing frame with an aluminum paneled body. They use 10 inch
wide racing tire, and weigh about 500 pounds less than a typical street car.
The high performance engines get the most attention in this high powered
class and thousands of dollars are spent making them race-ready.
This class receives accumulative points and
a cash prize for each heat race and feature race that is won.
